 It was all about waiting for the sunset

Revisited two of my favorites this year–Bacolod and Boracay.  And I still have a hangover.  Not from the alcohol but from the high of visiting the places that have been homes to me.

It was altogether fun, chillax, and rejuvinating.  Abstained from my cellphone and the internet.  So as much as I want to post photos right away, it’ll have to wait.  I’m still nursing a hangover

No work, no celphones, a lot of sun, sand, and fun!  Yeah, babeh!

I was planning to post a couple of Marys and Danielle pics this afternoon but I was busy making sure I got all my bikinis packed   Will be gone for only a week but this site will have to wait for a good two weeks for an update.

 Help!

My body clock has totally changed.  Dammit.  You see, eight months ago, I was used to turning in early (during weekdays, anywa) and waking up early which suit me well because I love jogging around the UP campus usually around 6am.  But becoming a media drone again totally turned my sleep-wake routine upside down.

And now, even during weekends, I have a hard time sleeping earlier than 12 midnight.  I tucked in about four hours ago but here I am, up and WIDE awake, internet-whoring.  And I feel a tad frustrated because I really wanna put jogging back in my routine again.  And I like doing it outdoors.  Not inside the gym where I get easily bored.  So…

Suggestions, anyone?

The Philippine archipelago holds 7,107 islands (cue Charlene asking, "Hight tide or low tide?").  And as the first kiss of the summer sun seduced us, some of my girlfriends and I decided to explore one of them–Potipot Island.

Beach time was a bit dampened by gray skies and I was worried most about two things–how I’ll be able to take good photos and get a gorgeous tan.  I gave up on the latter thinking I’d have more time to get that during my Holy Week vacation.  But thanks to Ixy, I was able to capture some of the island’s beauty despite the lack of good lighting.

I decided to experiment a bit and use my beloved digicam’s blue filter.  Here are some of my favorite photos:

Everybody knows I have a fascination with– no, make that an OBSSESSION with–rockstars as evident here, here, and here.  Hence the birth of Penny Lane.  But my obssession thawed out a bit when I decided to refocus my priorities–choosing traveling over being a major groupie and following bands (Brownmwan Revival, in particular) to the ends of the earth.

But the Penny Lane in me never dies. 

I was almost (ALMOST!) tempted to spend my summer money and buy tickets for tonight’s Maroon 5 concert but my wanderlust took over.  So I consoled myself by listening their "Won’t Go Home Without You" and "Makes Me Wonder" tracks over and over again ’til yesterday night.

When I woke up this morning, I was planning to ignore the whole Maroon 5 hoopla and go through the day as if it were just any other ordinary Wednesday.  But alas.  Just a few minutes ago, I got this text message from PJ:

 "Kakatapos lang!  Ang saya!"

I was wondering, kakatapos lang ng alin?  Then this photo followed:

Yummy!  Adam Levine of Maroon 5 during this afternoon’s press conference. 

Grrrrr!  There goes my whole just-let-the-day-pass-and-you-won’t-even-know-Maroon 5-was-here plan.  PJ, you lucky bastard! Hahaha.  Well, instead of sulking over how I won’t get to see Adam-licious perform live onstage, I texted PJ this:

"Sayang.  It’s Adam’s chance pa naman to see me and upgrade after dating Paris Hilton."

And PJ’s reply?

"I know!  It’s his loss!"

Hahaha!  Spoken like a true friend! Haha! 

‘Di bale.  A rumor’s going around that U2 will be here during the 3rd quarter of the year.  My funds should already be replenished by then.  So Bono, watch out!
