CEBU 2007
Tuesday, October 23, 2007Well, here it is folks. The much-awaited photos from our trip. Just click on the images below so you can drool over the rest of them :p
CEBU DAY 1 & 2: Bantayan Island
CEBU DAY 3: HIS Day
my life is so T.G.I.F. this week
Thursday, October 18, 2007My horoscope for today:
If you've been seeking success and finding frustration, today is the day to consider a few new tactics. Look at all the possible ways you could handle this situation. Then choose the option that you find the most intimidating. Subliminally, you may have been seeing opportunity as pressure, and have thus been preventing yourself from taking a challenge because you were afraid you would fail. But you're much more capable than you give yourself credit for. Be confident!

I wish I were a mind-reader. It's hard to grope around when you strongly feel that there's something wrong but don't know exactly what. It's easy to ask, but you don't always get the answers you need.
I mean if you did do something wrong, wouldn't it be easier if you knew what it was so you can correct it, learn from it, and move forward?
Sigh.

Since my Friendster account has been getting a lot of hits because of this photo, I've decided to share it with you…
(I can't think of a good enough caption, so you come up with one for me
). Photo taken by Yano during our Calatagan Weekend Getaway last June 30, 2007.
sunday with the kids
Monday, October 15, 2007The Buntis decided to celebrate her birthday this year at her Sibol class in Parañaque where she does volunteer work every Sunday. We all played assistant teachers to her class of impish five-year-olds. Well, Fritz, Rochelle, Conrad, Kannika, Cay, and Carlo did anyway. I just did all the clicking ![]()

bantayan bliss
Tuesday, October 9, 2007I just came back from my three-day affair with paradise. Sarrraaaaap. All that yoga made me an expert in detaching myself from the noise of the city and the pressures from work. But then again, how hard could that be when you're somewhere here…
I was intending to post my pictures the minute I got home but I still haven't resurfaced from my "living the life" stupor.
Aside from basking under the glorious sun, we had a more important reason for going to Cebu this weekend–his first year death anniversary. Being where I was when it happened a year ago helped me define what I'm now feeling about him and everything that transpired after. I'll soon be writing about that too.
But for now, I'll enjoy first what's left of my vacation before I go back to the saltmines.
the reluctant "ate"
Monday, October 1, 2007A Tuesday morning text message: "This is my new number. Carlo."
My reply: "Carlo who?"
His response: "Kapatid mo gago!"
Hahaha! Just one of those hilarious banters my younger brother and I normally have. We used to wrestle each other to death when we were kids. But growing up…well, I realized I love him more than I'm willing to admit :p And I'm proud of the young man he's become. (If you tell him that, I'm gonna kill you! Hahaha!)

(A delayed post)
That's the number of paying patrons who witnessed the De La Salle Archers beat the hell out of Ateneo Blue Eagles in Araneta this afternoon!
WOOHOOOO!
College was the last time I paid this much attention to a UAAP game. But last Thursday's newsroom scenario refuelled my enthusiasm for the classic DLSU-ADMU rivalry! 45 minutes before the primetime newscast, reporters, producers, and editors alike were all cheering and jeering, watching the last few minutes of the La Salle-Ateneo match. For a moment there I thought I was at the National Sports Grill! The newsroom was divide in two–La Sallians on the left, Ateneans on the right. And when Chris Tiu of Ateneo shot his winning half-point, our groans were drowned by the Ateneans' triumphant yells.
And I didn't hear the end of it the whole night. Grrrr.
So I'm now caught up in the fever again! And I swore this morning that I'll be walking into the newsroom victorious on Monday! And I was right! Because this afternoon, the De La Salle Green Archers beat the Ateneo Blue Eagles, 65-60!
WOOHOOOO!!!
In a futile effort to piss me off, everybody kept jeering that UE will beat us in the championship, hands down. I COULDN'T CARE LESS. Basta natalo namin ang Ateneo!
Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if UE wins. Lasalista ang coach nila eh. Bwahahaha!
UAAP ticket circa 2000.
ANIMO LA SALLE!!!
